John Walsh is the support manager at York Street Health Practice in Leeds. John has spent the last 20 years working on the streets of Leeds trying to offer support to homeless people. He was Leeds Community Healthcare's clinician of the year in 2013 and the Yorkshire and Humber NHS Leadership Academy Community Leader of the Year in the same year. He presently works on partnerships, staff and service development and teaching at York Street. Two of the projects John is working on at the moment concern the link and partnership between education and health and how we create strategic alliances for the poor and vulnerable in cities.
